SET OF THREE TOUCANS, PAINTED WOOD

Associating three identical animals with various sizes is very common in Balinese handicrafts. Thus, this set of birds watching far off is particularly decorative.

The Toucan is supposed to be a common bird in many tropical countries. pays tropicaux. But some species are endangered because of deforestation, and of  poachers who capture and resale them to indivuals. Its long beak contains a big tongue, which enables it to seize insectes and tropical fruits.
